Commercial Tyres is a specialist in mobile tyre servicing, where uptime and field-readiness are critical. To expand their reach and respond faster to customer needs, the team was preparing to deploy a brand new Hino service truck, but needed it fully fitted with a dependable air compressor setup before it could hit the road.
Air & Power was asked to complete the fitout, with a focus on quick turnaround and ease of future servicing.
The Problem
The client’s new truck was ready to go, but couldn’t operate without a compressor on board. The unit needed to be:
- Reliable in mobile field conditions
- Installed with serviceability in mind
- Fitted quickly to avoid delaying the truck’s rollout
With tyre servicing relying on fast air delivery and tough equipment, the setup had to be both durable and functional, and available as soon as possible.
The Solution
Air & Power supplied and installed a Pilot Air K30P petrol compressor, mounted securely to the truck bed using a bolt-down configuration. The install included:
- Three quick-access outlets at the compressor for flexibility across different tyre tools and hose setups
- Layout designed for technician access, allowing easy future maintenance and servicing without dismantling the entire fitout
- On-site lifting and installation carried out by our mobile technician, Ash, using safe handling procedures
The job was completed earlier than requested, helping Commercial Tyres get their new truck operational without delay.
The Results
The truck was fully fitted, tested, and back on the road, ready to service clients immediately.
Results included:

- Minimal downtime, with installation completed ahead of schedule
